ABLAZE: the 1849 White Supremacist Attack on the Pendleton Post Office

During Banned Books Week, Dr. Susanna Ashton will be presenting a talk, ABLAZE: the 1849 White Supremacist Attack on the Pendleton Post Office. Dr. Ashton will be telling the story of a group of people who stole federal mail containing abolitionist writings and burned the paper on the Village Green in 1849.
